The Bad Roads
Lake Charles, Louisiana

The Bad Roads released two 45s in 1967: "Too Bad"/Blue Girl" and "Till the End of the Day"/"Don't Look Back" and these tracks show up on a number of garage/psych compilations. "Too Bad," "Blue Girl" and "Till the End of the Day" are all on Sixties Archives Vol. 3: Louisiana Punk "Blue Girl" is on Acid Visions Vol. 1 and "Too Bad" is on Acid Visions Vol. 2, although it is incorrectly identified as "Outside Looking In" by the Unknowns. "Blue Girl" is also on Mindrocker. In 1999 Sundazed released a 7" EP that collects all of the band's tracks. The Bad Roads' fuzz and driving riffs have made them a garage revival favorite. The Miracle Workers' recording of "Blue Girl" is on Moxie's Revenge, and the Morlocks included "Too Bad" on Uglier Than You'll Ever Be, but they also mislabeled it as "Outside Looking In." Buz Clark, lead singer for the Bad Roads, wrote to say:
I am the lead singer of The Bad Roads.
Our band still gets together, most recently we played for our home town high school, Lake Charles High.
We had a great turnout and the band still rocks.
We are working on a web page and possibly recording again.
Thanks, Buz Clark
